Architectural Review Board
The Board has the authority to establish the Architectural Review Board (ARB) as outlined in paragraph 10.02 of the Declaration of Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions of the Indigo Run Community Owners’ Association.
The Architectural Review Board (ARB) is comprised of 6 Members (Minimum of 3 Owner Members is required)
The Architectural Review Board Process:
- READ THE ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN GUIDELINES (ADG) GUIDELINES We know it’s not an exciting read, but this document is important! It outlines what is and is not permitted in Indigo Run! If you do not follow the ADG, you may be required to re-do your project.
- DO YOU NEED AN APPLICATION? Determine if your project needs to be reviewed by the Architectural Review Board. Review the Guidelines or simply call us at 843-689-7300 and tell us about your project - we can tell you if you need to fill out an application or if you can proceed with your project without our approval.
- FILL OUT AN APPLICATION If it’s determined that you need to submit an application, fill it out using as much detail as possible. Incomplete applications cannot be processed and will delay the review process. Depending on the request, applications typically take between 1 business week - 30 days to process.
- SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION Turn in your application to the COA staff by either dropping it off at the COA office or sending it via email to sbergman@indigoruncoa.org Don’t forget your application fee which can be submitted via cash or check.
- STAFF/BOARD REVIEW If your application follows the ADG, then the Architectural Review Board (ARB) can typically approve your application quickly. If however, you are requesting a change that does not follow the ADG, (i.e. changing your exterior paint to a color not pre-approved) staff must send your application to the Board for review.
- DESIGN PROCESS If your application is approved, staff will inform you, issue a permit and you can proceed with your project. If your application is denied, you can modify your project to meet the ADG and try again.
Architectural Review Board meets the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month. All applications with applicable fees, samples, etc. must be at the office no later than the previous Friday by noon.
